Factory Operator / Manager

Responsibilities
Factory operator/manager is responsible for running and monitoring machinery, maintaining production flow, and ensuring product quality within a manufacturing facility. They also handle tasks like equipment setup, minor repairs, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This would be for a Soybean meal extraction plant with a capacity to process 70 to 100 tons per day.
BASE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating Machinery: Setting up, adjusting, and operating production machinery to meet production targets.
Monitoring Production: Observing the production process, ensuring machines run efficiently, and troubleshooting minor issues.
Quality Control: Conducting regular quality checks on products, making adjustments to maintain standards, and identifying and removing defective items.
Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on equipment, reporting major issues to supervisors, and potentially assisting with equipment setup and adjustments.
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures, and reporting any safety hazards.
Record Keeping: Documenting production data, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate records.
Collaboration: Working with team members to meet production goals, resolve issues, and improve processes.
Following Procedures: Adhering to production schedules, quality control procedures, and safety guidelines.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Handling: Loading and unloading materials, moving products, and potentially operating forklifts.
Packaging: Labelling, tagging, and packing finished products for shipment.
Inventory Management: Assisting with receiving, storing, and organizing materials.
Basic Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving basic machine malfunctions or production issues.
Process Improvement: Participating in efforts to improve production efficiency and quality.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in Engineering or related fields.
5 years of experience working in Soybean processing company or related manufacturing set up would be highly desirable.
Key requirement would be having hands on expertise of dealing with various machines involved & be comfortable in doing so.
Fluency in English
Confident with operating computers and web applications.
Keen to learn on the job, and comfortable with committing to the company for an extended period of time.

Pay and Benefits
USD 1000-1500 per month (Tax-Free Savings in India)
GHS 2500-3000 per month local salary
